I love it when I find 3-4 ...You are totally right! I love it when I find 3-4 items in a package for a $1. Even if you only make one, by deliberately talking about each time and asking your kids to help, write notes/draw pictures, and then look for opportunities to hand them out--it will make a difference in teaching your kids. One note of caution, since I have worked more directly with this population in the past - please don't give them hand sanitizer or mouth wash - some recipients would drink it for the alcohol content and could end up with alcohol poisoning. I had a brother who was homeless as a teen after he left home. Since I learned about that time in his life I've been trying to find ways to give to people in the situation he was in.
