Today marks 3 months from the start of "Pennies of Time" and I cannot express how much serving in small ways with my children has helped my family. Immeasurably and deeply.
I thought I would have this nice little chat with the boys and video-tape it. Well, we did that and they were fairly shy . . . and turned off and on lights . . . and bickered a wee bit, you know, like kids do. And, I cut off half my head in the taping and asked marginally insightful questions. You might be reminded of a really bad cable show. Seriously. But, it was one take and we move along with our day.
You'll at least get a sense of their personalities. I love those guys!
Videographer, I am not. At the same time, we are doing the work of serving with our kids.
I've just about added all the ideas that have been forwarded to me. I've built boards on Pennies of Time on Pinterest.
As we continue to do this, I am trying to find ways to make a greater connection with my children on service. The work of service. The goals of service. The sacrifices of service. And, the blessings of service.
Priceless. I especially liked M's bye-bye at the very end. Yes, our family has grown by these experiences.
